Kohlrabe
Yum. We plucked this tasty little guy from the ground and sent it right to the restaurant to be transformed into slick batonettes tossed with really good olive oil and salt and pepper to accent a salad of fresh lettuce from the farm, Carpenter early hothouse tomatoes, pea pods from the farm, and early pea shoots. It was a-maz-ing. And imagine having the food come to you with a carbon footprint of less than 15 miles! Organically grown! Given lots of love and no chemicals!!
