Lettuce be Served
This lettuce is some really beautiful tasty stuff. There are two types that I mentioned early in the blog, Austrian Florenschuss (the maroon and green speckled) and Israeli Jericho. Both seem to due really well in hot weather. We were told that they were bolt resistant, and they are. They will be served this crazy Art Fair week as a Cornman Farm Greek Salad. We cleared out one hodgepodge row that Mark and I threw together, and came up with some really nice onions. Very flavorful and sweet. We also harvested some beets, which we roasted off. We picked some amazing lemon basil, and with some olive oil, lemon, and fresh goat cheese, the salad is quite tasty. Come and try one!
