This was exactly what I was looking for - I am hosting a few people over at my house tonight and was looking for some interesting 'different' Gullah recipes. I am cooking Gullah because I am showing people a late cut of a film we are completing called "Bin Yah". www.binyahfilm.org
This recipe sounds delicious - and - I just happened to have bought a huge sack of yams yesterday! We have become real Gullah food enthusiasts in this house. I am in Charleston, SC, but I am so glad to see there are Bin Yah's where the Come Yah's are, not just Come Yah's where the Bin Yah's are!
Thanks for the recipe!
