Industry Reviews:
“Knowin’ Sugar is a moving, endearing story about being your authentic self. Chatterelli’s imagery is sensory and precise, and her language so poetic. I was swooning on nearly every page!” – Katrina Kittle, author of Morning in this Broken World
“Richly described and full of hope, thirteen-year-old Sugar’s heart shines through this coming of age tale. Set in the mountains of Appalachia, this story pulled me in headfirst into Sugar’s changing world and a changing time, anchored by a love of place and a zest for life. Aching with the longing we all share – to be accepted and seen fully. Threaded with woodsmoke, wildflowers, and magic, Knowin’ Sugar leads us on an adventure where Sugar risks everything she holds dear to be true to her heart. Reading this will break you open.” – Elaine Olund Writer, poet & author of The Invisible Suitcase
