From Freedom, Maine to Dexter, Michigan

A Roadhouse Supper Inspired by The Lost Kitchen
Sunday, November 8th, 6-9pm at Courageous Books
Dinner $60 | Dinner & Wine Pairing $90
Zingerman’s Roadhouse is so excited to invite you to join us at Courageous Books in Dexter! Please join us on November 8th for a special evening of food, stories, and good living inspired by The Lost Kitchen: Recipes and a Good Life Found in Freedom, Maine.
Chef Erin French’s beloved cookbook celebrates the simple pleasures of cooking and gathering—food rooted in place, prepared with care, and shared around a table with good company. For this special dinner, Zingerman’s Roadhouse brings that spirit to Michigan with a menu inspired by the book and the beautiful, unfussy cooking of rural Maine.
Expect a memorable multi-course supper featuring seasonal ingredients, generous hospitality, and plenty of reasons to linger–including all the books! Along the way, we’ll celebrate the connection between cookbooks and the places they transport us to—from a tiny restaurant in Freedom, Maine, to a gathering around the table in downtown Dexter.
Come hungry, bring your love of good books and great food, and settle in for an evening where a good life is found one plate—and one page—at a time.
