Special Event: 10th Annual Jelly Bean Jump Up Dinner

With Molly Stevens, Award-Winning Cookbook Author
Tuesday, March 25th 6:30pm
Zingerman’s Roadhouse invites you to an epic evening on March 25th with award-winning cookbook author Molly Stevens for our 10th Annual Jellybean Jump Up Fundraiser! This will be Molly’s second Jelly Bean Jump Up dinner at the Roadhouse, and fourth event with us overall. Join us as we welcome back our friend and a talented woman in the culinary world while supporting SafeHouse Center, a safe haven in Ann Arbor for women and children affected by domestic violence.
This year, Chef Bob Bennett has coordinated with Molly to prepare mouthwatering dishes from her cookbooks, All About Braising: The Art of Uncomplicated Cooking and All About Dinner: Simple Meals, Expert Advice. The menu for this event will feature dishes made with beautiful, rich cultured butter from Vermont Creamery, and James Beard award-winning cookbook author and teacher Molly Stevens will share her expertise about cooking some of her famed dishes using this butter.
Molly Stevens is a freelance cooking instructor, writer, and recipe developer. Her most recent cookbook, All About Dinner: Simple Meals, Expert Advice came out in the fall of 2019 and was nominated for both a James Beard Foundation and IACP book award. Her previous cookbooks, All About Braising: The Art of Uncomplicated Cooking (2004) and All About Roasting: A New Approach to a Classic Art (2011), each won James Beard and IACP cookbook awards. Classically trained in professional kitchens in France, Molly has been named Cooking Teacher of the Year by both Bon Appétit and IACP, and has been described in the New York Times Book Review as “a beautifully clear writer who likes to teach.”. In 2022, Molly started the Everything Cookbooks podcast along with three other veteran cookbook authors, Andrea Nguyen, Kate Leahy, and Kristin Donnelly.
We will also be raising money for an amazing cause with the 10th Annual Jelly Bean Jump Up, in memory of Ari’s beloved Corgi, Jelly Bean, who used to jog with him past SafeHouse Center in Ann Arbor. SafeHouse Center is committed to the empowerment of domestic violence survivors and the cultivation of social change, and Zingerman’s is humbled and honored to support them in their efforts.
Do not miss an opportunity to meet Molly Stevens at this unforgettable 10th Annual Jelly Bean Jump Up dinner, and to help us raise awareness and funds for Ann Arbor’s SafeHouse Center! We will have copies of her award-winning books available for purchase and autograph at the dinner. Also, we will have an online silent auction running through the month of February, and the bidding results will be announced at the dinner. There are additional donation levels available when you purchase your ticket online, and by “jumping up” to donate any of the following amounts, you’ll be directly funding an important community resource and assisting the families SafeHouse works with.
