“Breakfast of the Century”

Yep, you heard that. “Breakfast of the Century” was how Jane and Michael Stern described their recent visit to the Roadhouse for breakfast during a visit to the Kerrytown Bookfest to lead a panel with Ari Weinzweig on food. There are some beautiful food pictures and a mouthful of praise from two of the most passionate foodies in the country. (Listen to them out every week on Lynn Rosetto Kasper’s The Splendid Table.)

Just a reminder, the Roadhouse is serving breakfast every weekday starting at 7am, so you can get your early morning bacon and eggs (And just about everything else!) everyday!

  1. Did you stop serving breakfast early on weekends? Please tell me you’re not going back to just brunch on weekends… : – (

  2. Nope, you can still come in and get your breakfast through the Roadshow. On Saturday and Sunday, the Roadshow opens at 8am. We’ll see you then!

  3. Hi Nancy,

The Roadshow is a multi-faceted little trailer. Yes, it is the to-go wing of the Roadhouse. If you call to place a to-go order from the Roadhouse menu, you’ll pick-up at the trailer (either drive through or walk-up to the window).
It is also a quick-stop drive-through. They’ve got lots of pastries for breakfast, as well as sandwiches. You can drive-up, order from their menu and take-off again within minutes (great for an on-the-way-to-work breakfast, or grab-a-quick-bite lunch).
And, finally, the Roadshow makes the coffee drinks for the entire Roadhouse. So, if you sit-down and order a cappuccino or espresso, a Roadshow barista has prepared your drink for you.
    Thanks for asking!

  4. hope to visit you the next time cause i’m so very interested in your breakfast. i heard a lot of good things about you AND i am always really hungry 😉 see you!

  5. After the very disappointing MI game we went to Zingermans for Dinner. Everyone was very nice, Service was great. We spoke with Alex, I was very impressed that the food came from their own farm. Dinner was great we will have to go back and try breakfast

  6. So glad you enjoyed your experience. We would love to have you back for breakfast any weekday starting at 7am, weekends at 10am. Alex Young, our managing partner, could speak passionately for hours about our food and about bringing the farm back to the table. Check out the Cornman Farms website for a better look at how it fits into the Roadhouse’s goal of serving regional American foods.

  7. Yes you can! The Roadhouse’s breakfast is served during the week at the Roadhouse from 7am until 11am. We’re excited serve you, and are able to accommodate reservations, which you can make online, or by phone at 734.663.FOOD(3663).
